FontoXML Content Quality App
while you’re writing.
Meet your new intelligent assistant
Writing structured content may be a daunting task at first: you need to worry about the text itself and the ideas you’re trying to convey. Next, you need to think about the structure and semantics of your text: is something better represented as a list or as a table? Is this piece a tip or a warning? And what about references to other information? But once you’re done, your information is to the point, published via many channels, easy to find and a part of the web of information.
The FontoXML Content Quality App provides intelligent assistance while you’re writing. As you are typing, it scans your text for spelling errors and grammar mistakes. At the same time, it will help you to capture the semantics of your writings. Furthermore, it is on the lookout for potential reference-, linking- and reuse-opportunities. In short, the Content Quality App helps you to increase the quality of your (structured) content and it saves you a lot of time.
We use state-of-the-art algorithms that work together to provide you with the best possible improvements and suggestions on several levels.
Think of it as a spellchecker on steroids.
On a textual level, our Content Quality App checks your text for spelling errors and grammar mistakes. It will help you to comply to writing styles. For example by checking the use of active voice.
It will also help you to prevent using inconsiderate language or formulating sentences that are too long or too complex to understand like this sentence more or less is.
The Content Quality App is also able to help you comply with the rules of any controlled language, like Simplified Technical English.
Linking & References
On the link and reference level, the Content Quality App recognizes references and checks whether they are correct. It can parse a bibliographic citation into a structured form and validate it against citation databases like PubMed and Crossref.org.
It will automatically add missing information, like the DOI. The Content Quality App also helps relate your information to thesauri and knowledge bases. At the same time, it makes sure all links are up to date.
Structure & Semantics
On the structure and semantic level, the Content Quality App helps you to structure your content. For example, it knows introductions go at the top and conclusions belong at the bottom of a document. The app also helps you to enrich your documents with semantic information by recognizing information and redacting it. For example, information like a healthcare identifier or a credit card number.

It provides fast, scalable classification and optional redaction for sensitive data elements like credit card numbers, names, social security numbers, passport numbers, US and selected international driver’s license numbers, phone numbers, and more. The API classifies this data using more than 40 predefined detectors to identify patterns, formats, and checksums, and even understands contextual clues.
Microsoft Cognitive Services
The Text Analytics API from Microsoft Cognitive Services can detect sentiment, key phrases, topics, and language from your text. Based on these detections, the FontoXML Content Quality App can redact.
TechScribe ASD STE Term Checker
The TechScribe term checker helps you to make sure that text conforms to ASD Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100).
